“Kazatomonerkasyp”, a branch of  Trade and Transportation Company” LLP was created in 2010 in order to ensure required level of transport and operational condition of roads and road structures, for the organization of timely and quality maintenance and current repair of motor roads in accordance with the classification of activities, which includes road maintenance sections in Shieli settlement  of Kyzylorda region (“DEU-Shieli”) and Taukent settlement of South-Kazakhstan region ("DEU-Taukent").

On 30^th March 2015 by the minutes of meeting No.3 of internal extraordinary General meeting of participants of “Trade and Transportation Company” LLP it was decided to terminate the activity of “Kazatomonerkasyp zholdary” branch of  “Trade and Transportation Company” LLP and inclusion of “TTC-Shieli” Shieli Road Maintenance Section as part of “Trade and Transportation Company” LLP.

Principal activities of providing services by the enterprise:

• transportation of goods and passengers;
• maintenance of hoisting mechanisms;
• excavation and other works by road construction equipment;
• acceptance, storage, accounting and delivery of goods and materials;
• railway services;
• maintenance and repair of roads.

Today “TK-Shieli” branch of  “Trade and Transportation Company” LLP has a powerful production base, which is modified on a year basis is equipped with advance equipment, tractor technology. On the balance of the branch there are 211 units of automotive vehicles, including 40 units of vehicles intended to transport sulfuric acid, including Renault vehicles -12 units, Shansy Sx5313gp3jyc and Tsq-5313qyy  - 26 units, Volvo FMX 460 - 2 units. Also there is one shunting diesel locomotive of ТЭМ-2У and field engine Mercedes-Benz Unimog U400 designed for the shunting operations on the driveway of the branch.

The enterprise consists of three divisions: Car Fleet, Terminal Base and Road Maintenance Section. Number of employees of the branch is 476 people, administrative personnel is 27 people. The enterprise covers social living conditions, working conditions of the employees, safety and environmental conditions of production.

Transportation of the employees to the workplace and back is available, shower rooms and household complexes are in place. The branch personnel actively participate in sports and cultural events. The employees who work on hazardous areas are provided with healthful and dietary meals. All employees are provided with overalls and personal protective equipment, the branch has own laundry for washing special clothes. The enterprise has a security service and occupational health service, radiation safety and environmental protection, emergency rescue team, emergency response plans are in place.

The main activity of the Car Fleet is the transportation of cargoes, employees and services for National Atomic Company Kazatomprom JSC enterprises systems. 

By the nature of tasks performed, the Car Fleet is specialized in delivery of the goods and materials to the enterprises of National Atomic Company Kazatomprom JSC by heavy vehicles, mostly carrying dangerous goods in accordance with the requests of customers, transportation of the employees of the enterprises to work and back, providing the requests of the customers with special vehicles and road construction machinery.

The average distance of the transport of goods is 94 km away. Monthly volume of cargo transportation exceeds 43000 tons. The main cargo freight is made by Renault, Volvo vehicles and automobiles manufactured in China that meet the international standard Euro 3 and Euro 4. Hyundai and Daewoo vehicles are used to transport the passengers and these vehicles meet the international standard Euro 3 and Euro 4. The main materials are of total amount of goods transportation as follows:

• Sulfuric acid - 95%,
• Dry chemicals - 3%,
• Fuel products - 1%,
• Others - 1%

The main task of the Terminal Base s is a cargo handling (loading, warehousing and uploading), their temporary storage and logistics of National Atomic Company Kazatomprom JSC systems. The Terminal Base of “TTK-Shieli” of  NAC “Kazatomprom” JSC includes:

1. Warehouse of liquid chemicals – intended for acceptance, storage and distribution of sulfuric acid to the users. It includes:

• 5 loading points of sulfuric acid into road tankers;
• 5 loading points of sulfuric acid from railway tankers;
• 4 tanks to store acid, V = 600m³ each,  Total storage volume of sulfuric acid is 2400 m³ or 4392 tons.
• 5 railway tankers are unloaded with sulfuric acid simultaneously for 2.5 hours  

Processing capacity of the sulfuric acid warehouse is 30-35 cars, i.e. 2000-2200 tons per day.

The current production capacity of the acid warehouse of the Terminal Base:

• 2 pumps АХП 80-50-200, 30 kW, production capacity 50 per hour;
• 2 pumps ПНВ-2, production capacity 30m³ per hour;
• 5 pumps CRNE 45-2, 15 kW, production capacity 45 m³ per hour;
• 4 emergency pumps ПНВ, 7,5 kW.

The warehouse is equipped with car scales ЭВС-100 up to 100 tons.

- stockpile for reception and storage of caustic soda liquor, has:

• 1 point of bulk liquid caustic soda into road tankers;
• 1 loading point of liquid caustic soda into railway tankers;
• 3 storage tanks for liquid caustic soda, V = 46 m³ (200 tons each);
• 2 pumps for sodium hydroxide ПНВ-2 , 11 sq. and АХ-80-50, 15 sq. with capacity 30 m³ per hour each.

2. Warehouse of dry chemicals with capacity 1000 tons – intended for reception, storage and distribution of ammonium nitrate. The loading and unloading works are made using a gantry crane with lifting capacity of 10 tons.

3. Railway section – designed for acceptance, supply and clearance of the rail cars arrived.

The total length of the railway driveway is 5972 m, this railway is on the balance of “TTK-Shieli” of “Trade and Transportation Company” LLP and it adjacent to “Shieli” station of “NC Kazakhstan Temir Zholy” JSC. 

The railways consist of the main junction tracks and 5 railway dead ends. The condition of the railways is satisfied. There is a shunting locomotive ТЭМ-2У No.9335 and field engine Unimog 400 Mercedes-Benz intended for the shunting operations, supply and clearance of the cars on the driveway.

The railway siding of the branch can receive up to 60 loaded cars with heterogeneous goods per day and dispatch 50 empty wagons. There is servicemen crew to execute current maintenance and repair of the driveway.                                                    

 4)  Loading and unloading station, including fuel storage and filling station has:

• platform for temporary storage of yellow cake, dry chemicals, equipment and piping products and others; (equipped with gantry crane with lifting capacity of 10 tons.)
• 2 warehouses of arch type for the storage of transit cargo and 1 hangar of ammonium nitrate with a capacity of 1000 tons, with dimensions
• 18 m х 60 = 1080 m²; (for ammonia nitrate with capacity 1000 tons)                                                                                
• 30 m х 16 = 480 m²;  (for commodities and materials)

• warehouse of oxygen bottle, ощадью 6 м х 12 = 72 м²;
• fuel and lubricant warehouse and fuel filling station was built on 30 December 1986, area makes 3,033 ha;

 Filling station is intended for fueling vehicles of “TTK-Shieli” branch and other enterprises of NAC Kazatomprom JSC;

• delivery of petroleum products to the fuel and lubricant warehouse is made by railway transport;
• diesel fuel storage tanks – 4 units, V=300 m³ each;
• АИ-80  gasoline storage tank, 2 units, V=300 m³ each;
• service gasoline storage tanks, 3 units, V=25 m³ each;
• service diesel fuel tanks, 2 units, V=25 m³ each;
• АИ-92 gasoline storage tanks, 1 units, V= 100m³;
• 2 unloading points from rail cars: 1 point is for gasoline uploading; next one is for diesel fuel unloading;

  Fuel and lubricant warehouse and fuel station have installed fire suppression ponds (1unit - 250 m³, 1 unit - 100 m³), fire hydrants – 2 units.

  The area of the fuel filling station has an asphalt concrete pavement, access roads meet all the requirements

  Strategic critical facilities of the branch have installed with security cameras in the amount of 30 units, Car Fleet - 14 units, Terminal Base - 16 units.

   The check points have installed blocking turnstiles – 3 units.

  The area of the fuel and lubricant warehouse is fenced with reinforced concrete plates   of - 757 m.  

The main operating highlights for 2016.

Cargoes handled - 578 thousand 364 tones, 

of which sulfuric acid – 540 thousand tons 662.

Cargo turnover – 44 million 037 tons/km.

Road transport services – 263 thousand 125 machines/hour.

Road Maintenance Section (DEU).

Main functions and tasks of Road Maintenance Section.

Road Maintenance Section of the branch in Shieli settlement (DEU-Shieli) was created to ensure the necessary level of transport and operational condition of the roads and structures, for the organizations timely and quality maintenance and current repair of the motor roads in accordance with the classification of the types of jobs. DEU-Shieli has motor roads with a total length of 282.4 km.

The main objective of DEU-Shieli are complex of road repair and maintenance activities, implementation of which is focused on ensuring the compliance of transportation and operational condition of the roads that link the enterprise systems of NAC “Kazatomprom” JSC. To ensure uninterrupted safe movement of the vehicles through the mountains during winter period, it is organized duty of employees and automotive equipment in number of 4 units of DEU-Shieli at the road maintenance station (DEP) located at 55 km of the highway “Shieli-Taikonur”. For the concentration of deicing material on distant areas of the roads there is with a shield for salt and sand in the area of mine ПВ-19 on the highway “Taikonur-ПВ-19”.
