“Alternative energy supply of “TTC” LLP facilities”

Holding of the International specialized exhibition EXPO-2017 is one of the national key projects in Kazakhstan. The initiative of organizing such a grand event in the capital of our country belongs to the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev. At the Expo all the nations of the world are showing their best technological, scientific and cultural achievements. Holding an international specialized exhibition EXPO-2017 in Astana has greatly contributed to the actual topic, proposed by the Head of State - "Energy of the Future".

One of the many well-known resource-saving technologies is the use of solar energy.         On December 25, 2012 with the participation of the Republic of Kazakhstan President Nursultan Nazarbayev has been launched the country's first plant for the production of photovoltaic modules “Astana Solar”. Manufacturer of photovoltaic modules «Astana Solar» LLP - a subsidiary of NAC Kazatomprom JSC, implements the project "Creation of production of photovoltaic modules based on Kazakhstan's silicon”.

The possibility of using solar energy for domestic and industrial needs, were the main reason for the management of "Trade and Transport Company" LLP decision for the construction of stand-alone photovoltaic power plant (hereinafter - PES) road service points (hereinafter - RSP) on the Shieli-Taikonur road . RSP- is designed for heating and an overnight stay of workers to ensure proper transport and operating condition of roads.

Design and estimate documentation (DED), the construction of the PES RSP was developed by design organization "Institute of High Technologies" LLP. In accordance with DED PES complex includes: a platform of solar panels, converter station and onsite power. The main modular element of solar battery is 48 pieces of photovoltaic panels, production of “Astana Solar” LLP.

Operational principle of PES is based on direct conversion of solar radiation into direct current electrical energy. Output voltage – single phase 220V, solar battery power – 11,04 kW, work load of 1 kW from the storage-battery 31.2 hours.

Construction of PES RSP was initiated in September 2015 and in December 2015, construction of the facility was completed.

On the eve of the International specialized exhibition EXPO-2017 in Astana with the participation of representatives of 100 countries of the world, implementation of this project was a great achievement for the "Trade and Transport Company" LLP on the way to international promotion, economic and infrastructure development of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
